My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The location was great for walking to/from the train station and to Jack London Square for a concert, but the service was not as friendly as I had hoped. The rooms were clean and indeed had a window, but there was a high-pitched scream coming from the vent fan in the bathroom.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms had some issues like a high pitched scream from the bathroom vent fan and being smaller than expected for a Hampton hotel. However, the location was convenient for walking to the train station and close to metro stations for easy access to San Francisco.
My stay at the Hampton Inn Oakland Downtown was cozy and convenient. The room was comfortable, but a bit small compared to other Hampton Hotels. The staff at the front desk during the night shift were a bit surly, which affected the overall service experience. The location was good for easy access to Downtown Oakland attractions and close to transportation options. The dining options did not fully meet my expectations. However, the hotel facilities were adequate for a short stay in the area.
